What do crystals/gemstones do spiritually ?

Crystals and gemstones bring a desired quality or energy frequency into your energy field. They offer a boost of energy in specific or even general areas in your life. Each crystal has a unique energy vibration,as does everything.

Now keep in mind scientists agree EVERYTHING is made up of energy and all energy vibrates at certain frequencies.......therefore having a specific gemstone within your energy field, the crystals energy vibration will affect your energy vibration. It will gently create a synergy. ( a new energy created from the combination of your energy and the crystals )

This synergy is created from having a new energy come within your field. Now that being said there is an endless list of crystals, gemstones and their qualities, properties or attributes. This is convenient as we humans and all living creatures have many different ailments, that could use the help of crystals. Everything from depression, and anxiety to fatigue and aggression can be affected by a crystals energy. It doesn't take the job over for us, it just gives us a gentle shift in energy which helps create the desired effects we are looking for.

Crystals can change the energy field not only around us but around your home, office, objects or even outdoor space. Where ever crystals are, they are affecting the energy around. You can use their help with almost anything. There are many types with a variety of qualities and properties that cover anything we may need help with. They do anything we need them to do, providing we have a spark of belief ( and I feel they work even if you don't believe ) but none the less they change the energy where ever they be.

Crystals just be and by just being, they change everything !!

#How to cleanse and charge your crystals.

First off clearing or cleansing your crystals is a way to clear old or negative energy from them. It is like an epsom salt bath for us. Clearing your crystals gives them a fresh start, a boost to help them work most efficiently for you. It can be as simple or as fancy as you would like.

There are many ways you can cleanse your helpful crystals, but keep in mind not all crystals can be cleansed the same way. Most crystals can withstand the various ways of clearing and almost all crystals can be charged the same way.
 

Charging your crystals helps them to tune into your vibrations. It is similar to tuning the radio station so it come through at its clearest. If you do not charge your crystal it will still work for you, but I feel the more intention you put into anything the more powerful it will work for you. You charging your crystals with the intention of having them work for the greater good and at it peak performance is always beneficial. The simplest way to charge your crystals is to place them in your hands and from your heart, hold the intention for these crystals to work with you, for your and every ones greater good.

Here is a list with some of the more common ways to clear your crystals....

~Leaving them out to sit in full sun for an afternoon will not only cleanse them but given the suns powerful energy it will also leave them fully charged,

~Place them outside or near a window any clear evening but full moon is especially powerful as the moon at it full, carries great energies and enchanting powers. This also charges your crystals.

~You can smudge your crystals using whatever herbs you regularly use. Burning the smudge and running your crystals through the smoke will clear the old energy from your crystals same as it does for the energy in your room or house. You could charge your crystals after this technique.

~You can place most crystals in salt or salt water for a few hours to clear them. The salt water will absorb the unwanted energy and neutralize it for you. This should NOT be done with raw pieces or such stones as hematite or selenite as it will cause them to erode. Charging them after this method is recommended.

~Using candle light or natural fire is another great way to cleanse them. DO NOT place them directly into the fire but run them over the flames holding the intention to cleanse away unwanted energy. Fire is very energizing so do what feels right when it comes to charging them.

~You can place your collection into a shallow hole you dig in your garden or lawn. Placing them into the dirt for a day or two with have Mother Earth cleansing your crystals like new. Some crystals especially the raw ones will not withstand the dirt so it is a good idea to wrap your crystals in paper towel or cloth before placing them in the dirt. I feel mother earth is also great at charging everything, so your crystals should be good to go but do what feels right to you.

~In a pinch you can simply hold your crystals and ask the universe to clear your crystals. Hold in your heart that you want these crystals working in tip top shape, envision them being cleared and fully charged and remember to always feel and show gratitude to your crystals !!

There are no right or wrong ways to clear or charge your crystals, so just follow your heart and do what feel appropriate to you.

What is a medicine bag used for ?

A medicine bag is a bag that has items that are sacred or have especial meaning to you spiritually or have some kind of healing relevance to you from along your journeys. It may have items such as crystal, herbs, feathers, bones, rocks or anything else that has meaning to you.

Your medicine bag may be something you wish to carry with you at all times, like a protection amulet or just feels right to keep it with you because you call upon the item within it often. You can keep your pouch on a string around your neck or even keep it another back you keep with you such as a back pack or even keep in your pocket or tied to your wrist.

If  you do not wish to keep your medicine bag on you then you want to keep it in a special or sacred space such as your alter or on a shelf that you keep your spiritual tools , or even near the place you feel most comfortable doing prayer or carrying out rituals.

There are no rules to having, making, or carrying a medicine bag. It is always about what feels right to you and you experience, what has significance to you, and what your intention of having or carrying a medicine bag is.

There are different reasons someone would have one of these bags. They may be some type of healer and the tools they wish to use are kept within it and carried for convenience. Some one may have had many experiences that have taught them big lessons and showed them their true strength and they have items in which are a reminder as to their strength when they are in challenging times. This is a form of medicine. Again there are no right or wrong reasons to have a medicine bag.

Only remember to respect and give gratitude to your items and the pouch in which you carry them, cause if they are significant enough to be considered or used as medicine, then they should be appreciated, for sharing that gift with you.

*Energy vampires will drain your energy, unless you stop them !!

Ever been around someone who can zap all your energy just being around them ? or know someone who makes you feel drained whenever you give them your time, whether it be over the phone, face to face, or even over the internet through conversation ? They some how manage to bring your mood from happy to...... wondering why your no longer happy. And if you are an empath, clairsentient, or emotionally sensitive, you will be the main source of energy they focus on, as you have a giving nature and your souls purpose is to help others and give your time and energy.

Energy vampires thrive and survive on other peoples energy. They can not sustain their own energy level so they must feed off others energy to keep them functioning. Some know they are doing this and use it to their advantage by using others time, energy, emotion, by unloading their problems on you on a regular basis, while doing nothing to really help them self or by picking arguments, creating tension in order to feed off the energy the interaction creates.

Others don't really know they are doing this, they believe they are helpless and a victim of the universe. They ask for help and when you give it, nothing is ever is really accomplished because after your efforts are given they do not sustain momentum, unless someone else is doing it for them. A good motto here is....Be willing to help those, who are willing to help themselves ! They may not do it intentionally but none the less they do it.

These are energy vampires. There are many more examples of the types but in the end, they ALL thrive on your energy and anyone else who will give it to them. They are the chronic complainers, the pessimistic  the manipulators, the narcissus's, the gas lighters, the ones who like to argue or twist your words, the ones who talk negative about you, the ones who want you to do their work, they are the ones who bring you down intentionally or unintentionally. Energy vampires are every where. You meet them almost every day. They can be your neighbors  your parents, customers, co workers, friends, in laws, strangers, even your own children !

Now just because they take your energy does not necessarily mean they are bad people and you should cut them out of your life. There are ways to help deal with these people once you can identify them. You can use simple visualization techniques to place a protective energy shield between you and the other person or persons. Visualizing white light surrounding you or an impenetrable shield of protection, stopping all lower vibrations from connecting with you.

You can carry crystals or gemstones in your pocket that help with clearing up negative energy directed toward you. There are protection stones, transmuting stones, there is a stone for everything. When it is appropriate you could even give them your stone to help them with their struggles.

You must be clear about your boundaries with these people. If you do not have appropriate boundaries on how you will allow other people to treat you.... now is the time to get them. Speak them and mean it. Do not let others take advantage of you or engage in arguments that only serve to feed them your energy, time and attention.

Limit your time with these individuals and do not, do for them them, what they can do for themselves.  Helping is always good but be sure your helping and not enabling them to use you or think they are not capable themselves.

Do not engage in power struggles and walk away when you find yourself being pulled into an argument or a lower energy conversation that will really do no good or accomplish anything.

Everyone in our lives need help from time to time, a shoulder to cry on, and ear to vent to, and harsh words are even spoken from time to time, but when this is a regular thing, something is out of balance and if it's not corrected... that is when you are left with symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, frustration, resentment, even with a short term head aches, aches,  tension, or upset stomach and just an overall feeling of being drained, when prior to your time spent with them you were fine.

Using protection is as simple as asking Spirit to place a bubble or wall of protection around you that will stop you from absorbing anyone's negative energy, and to stop others from taking your energy...... period !! 

These people are everywhere and most of us have to admit we have been an energy vampire at some point ourselves, but now that you know how to identify one, you can take measures to avoid the loss of your energy , through someone else taking it without your permission and you can be mindful not take someone else's !

Emerald - The heart, health and prosperity.

Emerald is a stone that amplifies all qualities of the color green. Its multi-green tones enhance health, prosperity and the heart. Its enhances all partnerships, relationships and friendships. It is a healer of the heart, which in turn begins the healing process on all levels.

Lepidolite - useful in personality and behavior challenges.

*Crystals and Gemstones.

Crystals and gemstones are carriers of great energy and depending on the stone are very specific in the qualities they behold. Many crystals are used in multiple practices. These practices are used by those who understand and honor the attributes and energy that crystals carry. When using crystals it is important to keep in mind that crystals and gems stones can be powerful and their effect felt strongly.

Giving your crystals your permission to work with you and appreciating what they have to offer allows them to energize to their highest potential.

There are many different varieties of crystals. Amethyst, jasper, rhodinite, ruby, citrine, prenite, obsidian, lapiz lazuli, bloodstone, gold stone, selinite and quartz are just a few available crystals you can find easily in any spiritual type store for only a few dollars in smaller pocket sizes. Crystals can be purchased in all sizes and shapes and can easily be found online if you don't yet have a spiritual shop in your area. These crystals can provide a multitude of uses, there is a crystal for everything.

Many energy healers use the healing qualities crystals and gemstones by placing them near various parts of your body. They are used to strengthen the connection to spirit in prayer, magic and meditation. They are carried and worn as protection from negative energy. They are wonderful to have in home to help clear a space of unwanted energy or add a calming vibration in a particular area in the home, not to mention how beautiful many crystals are.

When you purchase or are given a crystal or gemstone it is good practice to first cleanse your crystal. You can do this in a number of ways. The method you will hear most about is placing your crystal in salt for couple hours to allow the energy to be cleansed but for a number of gemstones this will cause physical damage to the actual gemstone. Another way to cleans is to smudge your crystal with herbs, burning herbs such as sage, lavender, or rosemary and running your crystal through the smoke will also do the job. Laying your crystals in the sun light, even moon light for a number of hours also works or visualizing purifying white light with your own mind or burying your gems in a cloth bag for a day or two allowing the earth to clear and energize your crystals, are other examples of how you could cleanse your new crystals.

Once your crystal is cleansed you now can energize it through your thoughts and intentions. Hold your crystal in your hands and see your crystal being energized with it's specific qualities. Believe in their power and they will serve you well.

Once you have used your crystal for a specific reason, such as protection from a negative conversation, you could cleanse your crystal again, and of course re energize before it's next use, if you feel inclined. Ornamental pieces or large pieces that offer calmness to a room could periodically be cleansed as well.

But regardless of whether you cleanse and energize your crystals they will always carry the energy within in them that being said I am sure all gemstones would appreciate a little cleansing now and then.

Crystals and gemstones offer many qualities and many are reasonable in price, it is worth your time to do some research on what crystals can help you.

Remember everything is energy and vibrates at specific frequencies, each frequency offers different qualities and attribute, so choose the crystals that serve your intentions or alternatively let the crystal pick you by observing what gems stick out to you or seem to be calling you to pick them, listen to your inner guidance and trust you will choose the perfect stones for you.
