#Your goosebumps, shivers, and chills, are speaking to you.

Everybody gets goosebumps of some sort on a fairly regular basis. Some may feel it more frequently or a stronger in vibration but to some degree we all experience them. Unfortunately few know what to do with them let alone why they are getting them. If you start to pay attention to when you are getting them, you will begin to notice it is when you are in need of some kind of guidance or something is to catch your attention. Goosebumps are you picking up on energy, your own inner knowing and guidance, someone else's or a thought that you should pay attention to or look deeper into.

Goosebumps or sudden shivers or chills are trying to tell you or show you something. What ever they are trying to tell you, is up to you to interpret. They could be a warning, say if you were talking to a stranger and you had a bad feeling about this person when suddenly you get a shiver down your spine. You might take that as a warning to part ways and be cautious of this person.

They could come when you have an inspirational idea or thought, this possibly telling you you are on the right path and to move forward with this new idea. Goosebumps can appear when you are thinking of someone, you can bet in that moment when you feel them, the other person received whatever energy you were just sending to them in your thoughts and although this other person may not consciously know what this energy was, or know that you did this, you can bet they felt an energy shift on some level.

You may receive goosebumps during a conversation with someone or a group of people, this may be telling you to be extra aware of what is being said or to whoever is in your surrounding environment. Nothing may happen in that moment but something may become relevant in the near future, that you may not have noticed if you hadn't received those goosebumps and known to pay close enough attention to see the guidance offered.

When a loved one who has passed on is near, you may feel them through the energy creating your shivers or goosebumps. When a spirit is trying to get through to you or just letting you know they are there, you may feel chills. Our subconscious can pick up on energies near by, even though we can't physically see it.

These energy vibrations can be felt anywhere on your body. Some receive the majority of them on their head and shoulders and arms, others down their legs, and others anywhere and in various combinations, Your guidance is different than any one else's, so start seeing if you see any patterns or at least know that something is going on and act accordingly. They are a gift, a sign, a message, guidance, the universe saying pay attention !

For me goosebumps generally mean I or someone I am speaking with or something I am watching or thinking... is revealing truth. Everyone's experience may be slightly or completely different. Pay attention and observe your thoughts and surroundings when they appear. It won't take long and you will have another tool to use on your spiritual journey.

    2. Oh so true! I know for sure my guardian angel or angels are with me. Sometimes, I see a green light in the darkness and when I video the sun the green light changes to white and back to green with a pink glow around it. I am not afraid at all, I have many pictures and many videos. God is letting me know that He watches over me and He loves me. I AM TRULY BLESS!!

  2. Thank you for this post. I googled "body chill when talking to stranger." I consider myself a psychic, but don't always turn it "on." I walked to the corner 7-11 for some bread and on my walk back to my apt a female stranger in her 50's(looked like 60's and reeking of beer)approached me asking if I had any spare change. I reached in my pocket and found some quarters for her. I don't normally do this, but I could see she had a marker and was trying to make a begging sign. She said she needed money for food. She walked along with me on the sidewalk until I told her I was approaching the entrance to my apt complex. Along the way she mentioned she had some losses in her family and also lost her home.
I didn't feel threatened by her in any way, but all of a sudden I felt shivers from my chest downward toward my legs. I felt like running away from her and although it was very humid in Florida today post-downpour, I was shivering with each step. I tried to relax and thought maybe I was just having a panic attack, as I work from home and do not get to speak to people that often. Although, the children in the neighborhood are quite friendly and approach me all the time to tell me about their day in school, and I never feel nervous talking to children.
When I told her it was time for me to enter my apt complex and I stood listening to her story, the shivering stopped. I asked if she would like one of my donuts, as I had 3 of them. She said, "God bless you!" and we parted ways. I have never felt such a cold shiver like this for such a duration, what seemed like a full minute or longer.

    2. There are many times in my life that I was approached in the same way, a stranger asking for money or someone saying they need money for a sick child. I truly believe we entertain angels unaware and the goosebumps tells us we are surrounded by heavenly beings.

  3. I tried thought projection. The next morning and during the day I had tingling feeling that came and went down my spine, arms and legs with goosebumps all through the day. Maybe my thought projection was successful, I hope :-)

  4. I am happy I found this website. I can think back from now to childhood of feelings thoughts and or dreams that I had that "came to be real" . I was raised in a family who never gave me validity of these "psychic feelings." but still as a adult I now know it is real. I have this thing where I daydream I guess. I think about someone it could be someone I barley know and then boom they are there in front of me. And I have another thing where when someone talks about something and it is usually death or someone who has died, or just something close to their heart I get this feeling of shiver or chills but it's not cold . It's just a extreme sensation that starts from the inside core and comes to my arms or body. I sometimes will feel very sad too. Take into consideration I am a hypersensitive person and I could read any obituary and cry. My question is : what Are these things that happen to me? And why? And if so how can I expand my awareness or ability ? I was once told that there is a reason I am getting these thoughts or feelings, . Is there? Thank you so much for any advice you can give.

    1. Wow.... Anonymous,You have pretty much described me! My personal opinion...I think what we are feeling is the Holy Spirit. It would be wise to keep a dream journal.I also believe we are born with spirit guides. But remember try the spirit, make sure it is the Holy Spirit. Nice to know I am not alone in the strange events in my life. It can be very isolating life, if you allow it. Be care full in your search for awareness.

    2. The coincidences I just took to stumble across both of your posts have been fascinating. First I watched passion of the christ to see if I would find any more meaning out of the movie I had missed before. I had recently took up to reading passages of the bible again so today I decided to read the book of John. In John:14:15 the passage is titled "Jesus promises the holy spirit". John: 14:26 He says in this passage, word for word, "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Farther will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."(Holy Bible, New International Version). You, second anonymous, I believe are dead on about shivers being related to the holy spirit. Please, if you ever read this again, never be afraid to tell anyone whom you come across this idea in the future. God bless you!
I have been studying many different religions and philosophies when I became first unsatisfied with having Christianity become my default religion solely based off of being born into a lifestyle focused on the Christian faith and believe structure. This uncertainty led me on the course of self discovery for the past few years. I have studied Buddhism, Judaism, and my next endeavor was going to be learning the underlying preachings of Islam. My philosophy is every religion has a lot to teach us and only when we put aside the individual differences of each one can we really find the beauty in each one. That being said, the underlying differences of each religion can be truths or lies. This is the time where you have to go with your gut and really explore the contradictions of preachings and lifestyles of those affiliated with the religion.
Two ideas I have come across that have been enormous help on my journey of self-discovery have been learning how to mediate correctly (complete and controlled focus in a cross legged position that is uncomfortable at first), and understanding more about the "law-of-attraction". There are just too many "coincidences" that are just not easily explained by logical reasoning or scientific experiments/theories to have logical reasoning/scientific explanations be the only source for discovering what is true and what is not. People just have to understand somethings will not never be universally explained because each person's perception of an event is their own and therefore is not pure when described in a universal way. I have a long way to go though and much to learn but I hope some of these ideas are helpful to whomever comes across them and never stop looking for the truth. God, and Jesus, bless you all

  6. Thanks, I have been learning to meditate and channel to hone some of my abilities finally ready to accept and embrace them and my roommate just came home and was talking to me but the moment she touched my shoulder my body reacted from that point and around me with chills and my hair stood up. She was very happy when she came home and I think I reacted to her energy. Cool to know.

  7. Today I ran a new route for a cardio workout. A few weeks ago a person driving down the street lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the trees on the side of the road. I assume they did not survive as when I drove past the site of the crash I saw that they had that whole side of the road blocked with fire trucks and police cars. The next day I noticed chunks of the trees missing and flowers placed on one of the trees. Well today when I ran down that road, as I approched the site I remembered what I saw and as I was running past I said a little prayer for the person and their family. As I passed the tree with the flowers I got an extremely eerie feeling and immediate got the chills throghtout my whole body. The experience scared me so much that I ran around the site on my way back home.. i felt it was more of a warning feeling than anything else. I actually ran faster as I got the chills afraid to look back. What do you think caused this??

    1. I think it was only that....fear ! I think the goosebumps was universe or the spirit of the person who passed just acknowledging your prayer and good thoughts about them and their family.

  10. This is really interesting. I looked it up because whenever I read things about the spiritual world or psychics or even think about them I get shivers all down my neck and back. I do have some psychic abilities, after my grandfather passed over I became much more aware and hear spirits rather than see them, but It seems I can only tune in after or during I have these shivers. Thanks for putting this up.

  13. Mine are not about bad situations or bad people. Mine comes from when thinking about certain people in my life, or certain situations I'm trying to decide yes or no in relation to them. I get them down my spine and back up again usually right through the chakras.

  14. So these random chills arent a bad thing? They sort of freak me out, they felt good at first but when they keep on coming randomly.

  15. I started getting frequent chills maybe about a year ago, it does't happen all the time just in certain situations. When it does happen I get a lot of them, I thought it was some kind of neurological issue, but I do not think that is true anymore. I will start to pay more attention to what is going on when they happen, but it is usually when speaking of ghosts and spiritual things. I moved into an apartment that has changed the way I look at the spiritual side of life entirely. Maybe my body knew what was coming and started to become sensitive to certain things. I had a very life changing experience after living here for about a month or two but I got fairly freaked out so it stopped being so intense and now things will move around my apartment.

  16. I've been getting goosebumps all of the time since my boyfriend passed away. I've tried to make logical sense of them, but they never come at times when I'm cold or scared (which are times I'd usually associate with goose bumps).

A few weeks ago I resigned to believing they were actually my boyfriend trying to communicate with me. Ever since I started seeing them that way, they have become stronger and more frequent. Especially when I'm about to go to bed, I feel them all over my body. If I try to speak out loud to him, the goosebumps come almost as if they are a response to what I'm saying. It's an incredible experience that has provided me with so much comfort and reassurance that he's still with me.

Do you think this all sounds like a reasonable interpretation for my goosebumps?

  17. Hy. Please forgive my bad english. I' experience this goose bumps, everytime i want, and i can do, to start from my head and then across my body. I can concentrate this in any part af my body think in that moment. I feel like waves of energy from my head end to my legs. I can maintain this waves for 10-20 sec, then I feel drained of energy for a period of 1-2 minutes. Can you tell me what this is and why it happens. Thank you very much.

  20. Is this article really true?? Does getting goosebumps while thinking about someone special means that we are transferring energy to them though they may be aware of it or not? please tell me on what basis are you stating this?? I am not asking because i doubt you but this is asked something out of curiosity!

  21. I am 15 years old right now. I just decided I needed to look this up because I have experienced this for many years. It is now easy to control this, and I usually get this when I'm listening too an awesome song or great chorus. There are a few people when I think of them, the rush is almost overwhelming. It has been something's they've said or even their laugh. I can now close my eyes and take a deep breath without thinking of any of that stuff, and I experience this. I am a vey peaceful person, and it is partly because I went to International House of Prayer and was saved. A girl I truly care about was crying at a conference and praising God, then I was just overcome by the Holy Spirit. I cried what seemed like forever, and I don't know what happened, but she definitely felt a change of energy within her, because her head quickly darted up and looked at me, then she smiled. In my opinion, it is the Holy Spirit.

  23. I've been getting these shivers and goosebumps down my spine and arms since I was 5 even younger, my granny used to see me talking to spirits for we lived near the sea which people used to do a lot of witch craft and magic so she used to pray for me cause they wanted to take me away and by the grace of Jesus Christ son of God it stopped when I learned to pray for myself, but I could still see spirits and other entities and dreams of what's happening around me while I'm asleep. I now can identify my shivers and goosebumps. I get the comforting warm shiver which makes my body instantly relaxed and not worry which is the Holy Spirit. I get the continuous hair at the back of my nack standing shiver when I'm around people I'm not suppose to be around as well as places I'm not suppose to be in because There's other enterties inhabbiting there, I get small warm ones when my family and I talk about God and I get cold ones when talk about the enemy. I get normal shivers when someone is watching me And I'm not sure what these random cold goosebumpy shivers which are most intense from the back of my head downwards which I can actually feel the presence of someone that isn't there ....this one is most terrifing and scary feeling for its so overwhelming as if my body is frozen for a small period of time.... But I call out the name of Jesus Christ and its gone.

  24. This article was rather interesting. I've gotten chills before, and still do from time to time, but in the past, I'd mostly get chills when thinking about a certain someone or when I felt like I was being watched. There have been few times when I'd think about someone and I'd wonder what that person was doing at the moment to one day unexpectedly see them in public. There's a certain someone that never left my mind. Why? I honestly don't know. It could be a crush that never blew over or just an obsession that I developed, but anyway. I recall a time when I was signing my name on a sheet of paper. I was with two friends at the time, and I was so distracted with them that I wasn't fully aware of my surroundings. It wasn't until I finished signing the paper that I felt like someone was looking at me, so I looked up from the table and at the very end of it, there he was, staring at me with a piercing look. For some odd reason I felt scared and hid behind one of my friends. His stare looked evil, I can't really describe it. It just made me feel scared. I thought that day would be one of the last days I'd ever see him, but I was wrong. A few months later I saw him 3 times in public. The first time, I don't know if he saw me or recognized me as we were both in cars. The second time I had to glance at him twice to realize it was him, but I knew he recognized me because he had this malicious smile on his face. The last time I saw him freaked me out the most. It was night time and I was driving to this Asian place because my brother insisted on me trying one of their teas, so I drove there and as I'm driving closer I look around the neighboring stores and one of the stores happened to be Starbucks so my brother and I were sarcastically saying, Let's go to Starbucks instead!" and from a distance I see this guy sitting by himself outside at one of the tables. I immediately said to myself that he looked familiar, so as I drove by I tried to get a good look at him, but I wasn't able to. After my brother bought the teas I drove by again slower, and this guy probably sensed that I had seen him and was trying to identify him too because when I drove by the second time, I swear he looked at my car but didn't want to look up at the windows. It was crazy, at that very moment I got chills and started laughing because I couldn't believe it was him. I get the feeling that from now on, whenever he's near by and we're both in public, we will both probably sense something.

  25. I recently have begun a spiritual change that sort of came out of no where. I spent a lot of life confused and not knowing what I am supposed to be doing and recently through a series of events starting off with randomly picking up a book called god=mc2 while my car was being worked on at a shop and jotting the name down for some reason..this is not my usual type of read as I am not religious at all, but it just got to me. That book lead to another and another of metaphysical nature and I have begun meditating and preparing to channel my guide and I have had major goose bumps on a daily basis since then from my legs to my arms. My first time really deeply meditating and trying to make a connection I heard a weird noise which gave me a chill and I went into my home office and there was a grasshopper sitting right above my desk which came from nowhere, it wasn't in my office before and I generally do no really see them around my home at all....Awesome stuff
